MARITIME WORKS

OBJECT:
REMOVING A LARGE PLATFORMA

CLIENT:
CENTRO NAZIONALE delle RICERCHE

SITE:
VENEZIA (Italia)

TYPE OF WORK

The activity was the removal of the High Water Platform of the National Research Center, installed in 1970 off the coast of Venice, has become, over 40 years of activity, a reference point for marine science research and oceanography, water health monitoring, and meteorology, as well as acquiring one of the world's longest wavefront waves of the world.
A complex operation but best done by the men of Stone, which involved the transport of the upper part of the structure from the sea to a yard of Chioggia, then the reinforcement of the substructures supporting the tower. The operation was part of the investment policy that the CNR has launched in favor of the city of Venice and, more generally, for the safety of the seas..
